I created these cards based on a bunch of inspirations. I was born in 1984, grew up with movies like The Highlander, Army Of Darkess, Alien, Blade Runner, Lethal Weapon, Leon, Scarface… all the weapons in here are inspired by these iconic movies. One of my favorites is the Molotov with Keith from The Prodigy – ‘FIRESTARTER – TWISTED INCINERATOR!”
BOOTSY BOOMBOX was from a time that I met Bootsy Collins, who had a catch phrase ‘What’s Funkin’ on Bobble’ – and told me the story about his brother Catfish and how they traveled up the East cost of America in the 1970’s playing funk music in road side bars.
I included ‘Kang The Decapitator’ which was a weapon I used in World of Warcraft many years ago.
The Origami Unicorn from Blade Runner includes a little dream bubble of an electric sheep – paying homage to the Book that inspired the film (Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep).
All the cards, I tried to be creative with the names so that it doesn’t have issues with IP, and I included ‘Proxy Not For Sale’ on the back.
