One bite was all it took to zombify the whole planet of Ego so when the Guardians landed, Peter Quill gave him just enough power to devour the rest of the universe through the Expansion. The X-Men found the Ego flower connecting the Expansion to Earth. If we can hold off Ego’s zombie drones long enough to kill it and Peter, we might spare our world.
