DCeased Unkillables Box Zombies: Ravager

When DCeased was announced a lot of returning fans were a little disappointed to learn there would be no playable Zombie mode to match with Marvel Zombies. Now of course there are a number of reasons for this; they’ve been explained elsewhere if you’re interested. As for myself, I say there’s always reasons not to do something. I think a bunch of us want to do it anyway. So this is my effort, over the coming months, before the Kickstarter ships out I will have posted playable rules for every Zombie Hero. You can mix them with your Marvel Zombies, custom up some rules to run them in DCeased missions, or just laugh at how bad my ideas are. Lots of people have some cool ideas for how to make these characters. These are just mine.

My customs are designed to feel balanced next to existing designs. They are designed with simplicity in mind; simplicity is what makes Zombicide so fun. I also design my customs to match the sculpt of the model and the version and powers that are presented there. In designing custom playable Zombie Heroes I have developed the term “Militia” as a shorthand to mean Trooper, Guard or Specialist. All cards were made using Wuxyteo’s card creator, which is pretty great.

Continuing on through the Unkillables box we come to the Ravager, daughter of Deathstroke all bent out of shape on Anti-Life and ready to make it everyone else’s problem. Ravager is here to to crack hard targets and she is extremely good at it. Her basic attack throws 2 dice hitting on 3s for high accuracy with a focused target spread. Her Blue Skill gives you Critical Hits so you can count your 6s as 2 hits on a single enemy, just the thing for those pesky Guards. At Orange she exhibits the same predictive capacity as her father, letting her foresee danger and stab it in the face before it gets to her. Finally at Red, Undead Assassin is her signature ability; it not only allows her to fade into the shadows after eating someone, it also allows her to Devour an enemy without even rolling dice. This only works on Militia, meaning Troopers, Guards, and Specialists, so Super Heroes and Bystanders are off limits, but it allows Ravager to control her hunger and slip away from retaliation in one action. And then of course if they chase you into your new zone, you can Precognition stab them again. Or even chain another Devour attack and slip away again, if standing your ground is feeling like a bit of a sucker move. You can only Precognition once per turn, but that should usually be enough to make sure you are always engaging on your terms.
