Zombicide: Eternal Empire is bold, fast, and full of action — but is it the best way to experience the White Death system? In this review, I take a deep dive into the campaign expansion for Zombicide: White Death, exploring what Eternal Empire does well, what holds it back, and how it refines (or complicates) the Zombicide formula. Whether you’re already invested in White Death or just considering picking up the campaign, this video walks through the gameplay structure, progression system, and mechanical twists of Eternal Empire — with a critical but VERY appreciative eye.
Some clear shifts stood out:
💠 Chi weapons add tension and early momentum
🎴 Objective cards make positioning and movement more meaningful
📈 Campaign XP exists, but progression didn’t feel very rewarding
⚙️ Tracking abilities (Chi, guard actions, etc.) got a little clunky at times
The expansion definitely changes how White Death plays — faster escalation, more pressure, but also some growing pains with how systems overlap.
